Mrs Clarke's homework
I'd like you to write a short letter of thanks. If you completed cycle training I'd like you to write to the cycle trainers. You could tell them what you learned and what you enjoyed. If you didn't do the cycle training I'd like you to write to Mrs Lord and thank her for the activities you completed today. Again let her know what you enjoyed. Make sure you letter is done on paper (either written or typed) as we are going to either post them to the trainers or give them to Mrs Lord. You need to do this homework for next Tuesday 25th September.
Cycling
Congratulations to all the year 6 children who completed the cycle training level 2 course today. The 3 cycle trainers and I were extremely proud of you all. Your listening skills and the way you all followed instructions was excellent. Good luck to the children taking part in the level 3 training, I'll look forward to seeing you cycling to school.

Welcome to year 6
Can you believe it - you are in year 6. Bet it doesn't seem long since you were starting school and here you are on the last leg of your primary school years! Mrs Carroll and Mrs Clarke would like to welcome all our pupils into year 6. Everyone has got off to a fabulous start and we've been very impressed with some of the work done already.
Can I just remind you that we are starting our weekly spelling test next Monday. Everyone has got 10 spellings to learn and books will be brought home on a Tuesday. That means 6 whole days to practise the ones you're not sure about.

Sats week
Dear Parents
Well- after what seems like a lifetime of preparation SATs week is finally here. Mrs Clarke and I are confident that the children have been taught all the skills they will need to do themselves justice in the tests. They have worked extremely hard even though some of the revision lessons have been a bit dry and boring! We are very proud of their achievements and the progress they have made. They have been a super class to work with. As a reward for their efforts we have promised a post SATs party next Friday afternoon so they will be asking for some food or drink to bring to that please.
Timetable for next week
Sunday-Read thru science Really Useful Words from your revision pack
Monday-2 Science papers (read thru Top Tips for Writing in the evening)
Tuesday-2Writing papers+Spelling (read thru Reading Comprehension in the evening)
Wednesday-Reading Comprehension paper (read thru Maths Glossary and run thru any times tables you are not so good at in the evening)
Thursday-Maths Paper A+ Mental Maths (read thru maths glossary in the evening)
Friday-Maths Paper B (get a treat in the evening!)
How you can help
Make sure your child gets plenty of sleep this weekend and next week.
Make sure your child has a good breakfast in the mornings.
Help with the 30 minutes or so revision outlined for each evening.
Give lots of reassurance that you are proud of them no matter what.
Make sure that they get to school calmly and in plenty of time.
Thank you for your help with this and for all your support during the year.

Fun times at Robinwood
We all had a great time learning new skills, facing new challenges and working as a team. Mrs Carroll and Mrs Clarke were really proud of the way Class 6 showed such good manners and maturity. You were a great team-well done! We will be producing an end of year disc so that you can have a copy of all of the photos. Watch this space for a few samples later!

Homework for 15th/16th January
Hi everyone. Remember that homework has changed slightly this term. Tuesday is still the day for getting your homework from me but the maths needs to be done and brought back into school the following MONDAY. It is really important you do this as we will be using part of Mondays' lesson to go through the questions set. This is to help us revise for the SAT's. Each week we will be revising a different aspect of maths building into a revision folder that can be used at home and school. All other 'Mrs Clarke' homework can be done by Tuesday as normal.
